Full Professorship in Neurophysiology and Cortical Dynamics B 978421

The position
A permanent position as full professor within neurophysiology and cortical dynamics is open at CFIN. The successful candidate has a strong research background in MEG/EEG related to cortical oscillations in the human brain and development of source localization methodology. Candidates with research interests within the study of oscillatory activity in the visual system and its relation to electrical activity in the retina will be preferred. We seek a research program leader and as such, candidates who have already shown a strong track record of attracting highly competitive international grants will be preferred.

CFIN is part of the Department of Clinical Medicine at Aarhus University. CFIN is located at Aarhus University Hospital, Nørrebrogade. CFIN joins brain researchers from numerous departments, institutes and faculties within Aarhus University and The Royal Academy of Music, in an effort to understand the human brain.

Required qualifications
Appointment as a full professor requires research and teaching qualifications, including a Danish teacher training program diploma (adjunktpædagogikum). Applicants are expected to be currently at the associate professor level, with a background and Ph.D. as a biomedical engineer, neuroscientist or similar.

In making the appointment, emphasis will be placed on the extent, quality and originality of the applicants body of international scientific publications, including contributions to further developing the subject area in question. Moreover, an assessment will be made of the applicants research management abilities.

  • The appointment is in accordance with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (Akademikerne).
  • Remuneration is in accordance with the above, and the Salary agreement catalogue for staff at Health.

A maximum of ten of the publications of greatest relevance to the job must be submitted.
