Millions to Aarhus researchers

The Danish Council for Independent Research has recently awarded grants for Danish research projects and Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital is represented by 26 health science researchers who each receive substantial grants.

DKK 4.2 million in funding towards research into leukaemia

Professor Peter Hokland and his research team from Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital have received two grants to conduct research into the disease acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) – a cancer of the bone marrow and blood.

Researcher from AU and AUH receives substantial grant

Ole Hilberg from Aarhus University (AU) and Aarhus University Hospital (AUH) is part of a research team that has just received a grant from InnovationsFonden (the Danish innovation foundation) to develop a test for tuberculosis.

The PhD Cup Live award was presented to the winner, postdoc, PhD Eva Greibe, by the Danish Minister for Higher Education and Science Sofie Carsten Nielsen.

Eva Greibe from Aarhus University won the PhD Cup Live event that was broadcast live on Monday evening on the Danish TV channel DR2. She won the event with her dazzling communication on her study of vitamin deficiency in breast milk. A research result that certainly stirred up some strong feelings.
