RCT Interest Group

The interest group for Randomised Multicentre Trials is designed for both aspiring and established researchers across all medical fields, with the goal of enhancing the quality of randomised multicentre trials. The interest group aims to foster the sharing of knowledge among units and establish a valuable knowledge repository for ongoing and future trials.

The interest group arrange quarterly meetings on topics within the field of randomised clinical trials. For each meeting we invite a national or international speaker with expertise within different aspects of running a randomised trial to present a talk followed by a workshop or discussion session. Previous meetings have covered publishing strategies and clinical trial units.

If you join the interest group, you will receive information on upcoming meetings.

Next meeting

Dear all,

We look forward at hosting the next RCT Interest Group on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 from 15:30 - 17:00 (Auditorium J116-113, J110 Plan 1)

The meeting will cover the topic of: Design and statistical issues in RCTs

We have invited Ed Juszczak, professor of Clinical Trials & Medical Statistics from the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit to give a presentation about frequent challenges in the design of an RCT. Prof. Ed Juszczak has extensive experience in the design, implementation, analysis and reporting of clinical studies. He is, among other things, first author on a CONSORT guideline on reporting of multiarm studies and was the responsible statistician in the design of the RECOVERY study.

Ed specifically wanted to come and give a personal presentation, so don't miss this chance to come and meet an inspiring and very experienced professor in clinical trials.
