As an infectious disease physician and clinical researcher, I study studying HIV and chronic hepatitis B. My work focuses on understanding HIV persistence on antiretroviral therapy and finding ways to eliminate hidden HIV-infected cells as a strategy towards a cure. I have both an MD and PhD degrees from Aarhus University.
My primary area of responsibility is clinical trials research, primarily in people with chronic viral infections such as HIV and hepatitis B. In addition to my role as a researcher and Associate Professor at Aarhus University, I also work as an infectious disease consultant at The Department of Infectious Diseases, Aarhus University Hospital.
