I am a medical doctor with a background in paramedicine, currently pursuing a PhD in resuscitation science at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University, and the Department of Medicine, Randers Regional Hospital. I am also affiliated with the Research Center for Emergency Medicine at Aarhus University Hospital. In addition to my academic work, I serve as Chairman of the Young European Resuscitation Council (Young ERC) and co-lead the Young ERC Resuscitation Science Masterclass.
My research interests lie within emergency medicine and critical care, with a particular focus on cardiac arrest and ventilation strategies during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
My responsibilities include both research and education, including the co-supervision of students as part of my role as a PhD fellow. I am the lead investigator of the Ventilation During In-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (VENT-IHCA) study — a prospective, multicenter observational study investigating ventilation quality during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in hospitalized adult patients.
