Profile

As a medical doctor and PhD student, I conduct research in pathology and oncology. In my work, I primarily deal with breast cancer precursor lesions. I have a MSc in Medicine, Aarhus University, from 2022.

Research

I am conducting research on breast cancer precursor lesions with particular focus on ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Using register data, my goal is to map the recurrence patterns for patients diagnosed with DCIS. My research contributes to departments involved in treatment for DCIS being able to tailor treatment for each patient more effectively.

Teaching activities

I teach classroom lectures in pathology on the BSc programme in Medicine at Aarhus University.

Collaborations

I collaborate with the Danish Breast Cancer Group (DBCG), the Danish Cancer Society and the Department of Clinical Epidemiology at Aarhus University Hospital on my PhD project. The goal is to collect and combine data from various Danish registries.

Job responsibilities

My primary area of responsibility is to provide necessary, comprehensive and updated information on diagnosis, treatment and clinical outcome of Danish patients with breast cancer precursor lesions.
