As a postdoctoral research fellow, I am interested in improving health and well-being at the workplace in green-collar jobs. In my work, I am responsible for two EU-funded projects involving the wind turbine blade and recycling sectors. I have a background in clinical medicine and public health and have experience working in a variety of positions in the public sector in Singapore.
I am conducting research on exposures to chemical and physical hazards at the workplace with particular focus on green industries. Using both quantitative and participatory research methods, my goal is to deliver workplace interventions that are scalable and sustainable. My research contributes to the so-called green-collar workforce by aiming to improve whealth and well-being.
I teach environment and health on the masters programme in public health. Using interactive lessons and problem-based learning, my goal is for students and young researchers to apply scientific methods.
My primary area of responsibility is field research, starting with protocol design and ending with participant recruitment, data collection and scientific reporting. I also contribute to teaching in the areas of occupational and environmental epidemiology.
