I conduct research on how environmental and workplace factors affect human health, with a particular focus on respiratory health, allergies, and the microbiome. My work is primarily in epidemiology, where we study large populations across multiple countries.
I am a trained medical doctor and have been involved in research for more than 10 years. I believe collaboration is key to progress and I actively participate in several research communities both nationally and internationally.
I conduct research in epidemiology, focusing on respiratory health (including asthma, chronic sinusitis, and allergic lung diseases) as well as allergy. I have a focus on exposure assessment and have a particular interest in bacteria found in humans and the environment that affect our health.
I teach public health and occupational and environmental medicine to medical students at Aarhus University. I also supervise medical students and students in the health sciences master's program. Additionally, I teach PhD students about exposure assessment.

Additionally, I am the union representative for all junior doctors employed at the Faculty of Health at Aarhus University and a member of the Academic Council at the Faculty of Health. I am also actively involved in the European Respiratory Society, the Danish Society for Allergology, and the Young Otologists network.
