Profile

As a PhD student, my research focuses on screening for cervical cancer, particularly on how to improve risk stratification of the participating women to avoid unnecessary referrals and overmanagement. I have a Master of Science in Molecular Medicine and thus generally have great experience with different molecular methods, which I use in a clinical setup.

Job responsibilities

My research focuses mainly on HPV. I use advanced molecular methods such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) to obtain comprehensive information on HPV characteristics such as integration pattern, categorization into sublineages, and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). My research goal is to discover useful HPV biomarkers which can enhance the risk stratification of women attending the cervical cancer screening program to avoid unnecessary referals and overmanagement of HPV positive women.
