As a PhD student, I conduct research in gastrointestinal disorders. My PhD project focuses on understanding the risk of blood clots (venous thromboembolism) in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). In addition to this, I am also involved in studies on eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases (EGIDs). I am a trained physician with clinical experience from both surgical and medical departments.
My main responsibility is to design and conduct epidemiological studies on gastrointestinal diseases. This includes working with large health databases, managing data, and performing statistical analyses. I collaborate closely with researchers and biostatisticians in Denmark and internationally.
