Profile
With a background as a physiotherapist and a Master of Health Science, I have a particular interest in rehabilitation and care transitions. I am affiliated with cardiothoracic surgical research, where I study early rehabilitation in older patients following open-heart surgery.
Research
I am investigating how patients undergoing open heart surgery can recover quickly after the operation. In my Ph.D. thesis, I am testing a digital rehabilitation solution as an early intervention for older patients undergoing open heart surgery, supplemented with weekly calls from a physiotherapist. I hope that the early intervention will help patients regain their physical abilities more quickly and achieve better self-efficacy and quality of life.
