Research

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Aarhus University Hospital, specializing in the development and application of liquid biopsy techniques for lung cancer. My main research focus is on cell-free chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing (cfChIP-seq) and cfDNA fragmentomics, aiming to estimate tumor gene expression and study cancer epigenetics from blood samples.

I have strong expertise in bioinformatics, developing and implementing analyses for DNA and RNA sequencing data, often utilizing HPC clusters and R.

My recent work has contributed to advancing the understanding of how cfDNA fragment lengths and end motifs relate to gene activity in cancer.

Collaborations

As part of my PhD studies I have completed a research exchange in the Dawson group, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia. This international collaboration has resulted in a greater understanding of the applicability of liquid biopsies and how it is possible to study cancer epigenetics from blood plasma.
