I qualified as a Specialist in Orthodontics in 2018 from the Department of
Dentistry and Oral Health, at Aarhus University, where I'm now employed as a PhD student at the Section for Orofacial Pain and Jaw Function. I also work as a specialist in orthodontics at a private office. Before starting my postgraduate education and professional career in Denmark, I worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, USA, and as a dentist in England and Portugal.
My PhD project focuses on painful temporomandibular disorders, overlapping headaches, and associated risk factors. It includes epidemiological studies, laboratory research, and the collection of biological samples for future epigenetic investigations.
