I am a PhD student at the Atherosclerosis Research Unit under the supervision of Professor Jacob Fog Bentzon. I have a background in molecular biology with a specialization in cell biology.
I have worked as an instructor in Molecular Cell Physiology II and Drug Development and Pharmacology for bachelor-students in Molecular Medicine. Additionally, I am a teacher for Det Rullende Universitet.
I study the phenotypic modulation of vascular smooth muscle cells, which significantly contribute to the development of atherosclerosis. I have a special interest in the response to mechanical forces as well as inflammatory signaling. In vitro cell cultures are the cornerstone of my work, which is combined with bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing as well as other molecular biology techniques to gain a deeper understanding of the cellular mechanisms involved.
