I have a master’s degree in statistics and have many years of experience with both teaching and research in biostatistics and epidemiology. I am currently a PhD student working within mental health epidemiology and with a particular interest in applying various advanced statistical methods within this field.
As a PhD student I am looking into different methods to account for lifestyle factors in register-based studies using surveys. I apply these methods to study excess mortality in major depressive disorders also taking smoking, alcohol consumption and BMI into consideration as potential confounders.
