My research is centered at the interface between nanoscience and immunology. I have been investigating neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease as well as autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. I have developed new methodologies for detecting disease-associated macromolecular proteins relevant within these respective diseases. My studies now form an extensive foundation for the importance of macromolecular proteins both as biomarkers and promising targets for new therapeutics.
