Research
I am interested in how various factors in pregnancy and at birth affect children later in life. Newborns can become seriously ill very quickly and many fortunately recover without sequelae. With data from large data sets, I investigate how we distinguish between who will recover and who is at risk of having problems later in life. My PhD project is about hypoxia at birth, where I investigate which children with hypoxia are at increased risk of later neurologic impairment.
