Kristina Laugesen is awarded the Tove Nilsson Prize 2023
Postdoc Kristina Laugesen of Aarhus University has been awarded the Tove Nilsson Prize – a new award that recognises the prize-winner’s unique contribution to the development of the field of epidemiology.
The Department of Clinical Medicine and the Department of Clinical Epidemiology have awarded the Tove Nilsson Prize 2023 of DKK 25,000 to postdoc Kristina Laugesen, who conducts research into hormonal disorders, reproduction, infertility, the side effects of pharmaceuticals and the correlation between the foetal environment and the later development of disease.
Kristina Laugesen has written a PhD on the side effects of adrenal hormone treatment, focusing on the development of adrenal gland insufficiency and neuropsychiatric symptoms such as anxiety and depression. She has also published 30 research articles in international journals on a wide range of topics.
The new prize is named after senior consultant Tove Nilsson, who has played a key role in the development of the Department of Clinical Epidemiology.
