The Translational Cancer Network invites you to the annual meeting
On 1 October 2025, The Translational Cancer Network will hold its third annual meeting, bringing together researchers across disciplines for an afternoon dedicated to cancer research. The event will take place at Aarhus University Hospital and is open to all upon registration.
About The Translational Cancer Network Annual Meeting:
Date & Time: 1 October 2025, from 14:30 to 19:00 in auditorium G206-142, Aarhus University Hospital.
Keynote Speaker: Associate Professor Christine Desmedt, KU Leuven, Belgium.
Registration: No later than Wednesday, 17 September 2025 at 23:55.

The programme for the annual meeting features a keynote presentation by Associate Professor Christine Desmedt, head of the Laboratory for Translational Breast Cancer Research at KU Leuven in Belgium.
In addition, researchers from various departments at Aarhus University will present their current research, covering topics from surgery to bioengineering. Among the speakers are:
- Claus Lindbjerg Andersen, Professor, Department of Clinical Medicine
- Cindrilla Chumdri, Associate Professor, Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering
- Pernille Tine Jensen, Clinical Professor, Department of Clinical Medicine
- Anders Etzerodt, Associate Professor, Department of Biomedicine
Junior researchers: present your work
The network particularly encourages junior researchers such as PhD students, postdocs, and research year students to submit poster presentations. Posters previously presented at a conference or PhD day are welcome. A prize will be awarded for “Best Presentation.”
Those wishing to submit a poster presentation can select this option on the registration page.
Laying the foundation for new collaborations
Signe Borgquist, one of the network’s two co-chairs, looks forward to another inspiring annual meeting in The Translational Cancer Network:
“It is always a pleasure to bring together researchers across departments and disciplines around our shared interest in cancer research. We have put together a varied and strong programme, and I look forward to being inspired by both colleagues and guests.”
Martin Roelsgaard Jakobsen, the other co-chair of the network, hopes the meeting will serve as a catalyst for new projects:
“Our hope is that the annual meeting will lay the groundwork for new collaborations—both in terms of joint funding applications and larger centre initiatives. There is so much exciting research going on that deserves to be put into play across boundaries.”
The annual meeting of The Translational Cancer Network will take place from 14:30 to 19:00 at Aarhus University Hospital and is open to all interested participants upon registration.
