Movement is significant for humans. Based on this premise, I am focused on exploring and understanding the didactic potentials and challenges of physical education, particularly the status, role, and importance of the subject in education.
I hold a master's degree in sports science from Aarhus University and have since been involved in didactics and pedagogy in relation to physical education.
I teach Basic Body Movement, Dance and Performance, as well as Placement at Upper Secondary School in Sports Science. Additionally, I supervise both bachelor’s and master’s students.
Through a safe environment with room for humor, I aim for students to develop both academically and personally, while expanding their perspective on the potential of physical education.
I develop teaching programs and activities and have contributed to subject and teacher books, as well as examples used by the Center for Educational Development and AU Educate
I have collaborated with 'Gymnasieskolernes Idrætslærerforening', the Ministry of Education's subject consultant for physical education and dance, local associations and sports actors in Aarhus and surrounding area, staff at University Colleges Denmark and Teacher Education programs in Denmark, the Danish network for Physical Literacy, as well as the group 'First-Year Pedagogy' under the Danish University Pedagogical Network.
Based on my experience in teaching within the field of sports pedagogy, I am happy to advise educational institutions, sports organizations and associations, as well as other organizations that develop courses for teachers and instructors, work with subject descriptions, or need guidance on organizing practice-based (sports) activities
In the role as Teaching Associate Professor, my primary tasks are course management, teaching, and supervision in the Sports Science program, particularly in pedagogy and education, as well as aesthetic and expressive movement cultures.
I also contribute to the development of the sports education program as a member of the Study Board for Sports Science.
