As a Senior Researcher at the National Centre for Register-based Research, I conduct research in psychiatric epidemiology and genetic epidemiology. I have a background in statistics.
I am conducting research in psychiatric epidemiology, and I have a particular focus on eating disorder research. Areas of particular interest to me include cognition, early adversities, infectious disease, comorbidities, and gene-environmental interplay. My research areas cover causes and consequences of psychiatric disorders as well as treatment courses and outcomes. Ultimately, I wish to contribute research that will benefit the patients and their relatives.
My primary responsibility is research leadership, including fundraising. The research group led by Zeynep Yilmaz and myself conduct psychiatric epidemiology research with a particular focus on eating disorder research. I supervise PhD students, post docs and data analysts. Furthermore, I am part of the leadership team at the National Centre for Register-based Research.
