Profile

I hold a master's degree in public health science from Aarhus University and have an interdisciplinary methodological profile with a focus on quantitative methods and a broad perspective on health. I have extensive experience in data processing and analysis and am motivated by working with complex problems.

Research

In my PhD project, I use register-based data to investigate how psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders in childhood affect school-related outcomes, including well-being, academic performance, and absenteeism. Previously, I have investigated reproductive patterns among individuals with epilepsy. My goal is to contribute to a better understanding of these complex conditions and support the development of more targeted interventions.

Teaching activities

I have experience teaching epidemiology and biostatistics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In my teaching, I strive to make complex topics accessible by creating an engaging learning environment where students actively participate and receive constructive feedback, both in lectures and in supervisory settings.

Job responsibilities

My areas of work are:

  • Epidemiological research focusing on psychiatric and neurological disorders in children. These disorders include, but are not limited to, epilepsy, febrile seizures, autism, ADHD, and specific developmental disorders.
  • Data management
  • Statistical analysis in Stata and R
  • Research dissemination through publications and conferences
