I am an environmental chemist focused on emerging contaminants and their impact on ecosystems and human health. I develop non-target screening methods to identify hazardous chemicals in the Arctic, indoor air, and urban waters. With research experience in China, Germany, the USA, Switzerland, and Denmark, I work with public authorities and partners to support science-based environmental policy. I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Science, Aarhus University.
My research focuses on emerging environmental contaminants, applying suspect and non-target screening to identify and assess organic micropollutants such as endocrine disruptors and other hazardous chemicals. I study their occurrence, transformation, and toxicity in diverse environments, including the Arctic, indoor air, and urban water systems, to support improved exposure assessment and environmental health protection.
I develop non-target screening (NTS) methods to identify and assess risks of contaminants of emerging concern. I contribute to advancing exposure assessment methods and data-driven strategies for environmental monitoring and regulation. My responsibilities include project coordination, grant writing, student supervision, and teaching.
