I am a statistical genomicist with over a decade of experience in large-scale, multi-omics research on mental disorders and related health outcomes. My work integrates population cohorts, genomics, and advanced analytical methods to identify biological mechanisms, biomarkers, and causal pathways. Since 2020, I have been at NCRR, Aarhus University, focusing on genetic risk, comorbidity, and translational precision health.
My research focuses on genetic risk factors and the biological mechanisms of mental disorders. I developed integrated omics methods to explore the aetiology of mental disorders and comorbidities, most notably SMR and GSMR (~3500 citations). Beyond methodological advancements, I collaborate with clinical psychiatrists and epidemiologists to translate genomics insights for improving mental health outcomes.
Working as a senior researcher includes a variety of tasks,
Genomics-based research for mental disorders
Coordination of research projects
Organising presentations during group meetings
Maintaining research datasets
