Expert in rheumatic diseases appointed honorary professor at Health
Mwidimi Ndosi has been appointed as a new honorary professor of health outcomes and health education in rheumatology at Health, where he will strengthen existing arthritis research.

The new honorary professor at Health is an internationally recognized researcher in rheumatology - covering rheumatic and joint diseases - and will be affiliated with the Department of Clinical Medicine, where he aims to improve the quality of life for people with rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
"Rheumatic diseases affect all aspects of life, therefore a comprehensive assessment must combine biological tests, clinical indices, and patient-reported measures to provide a more accurate picture of disease progression," explains Mwidimi Ndosi.
A key focus of the honorary professor's research is to develop patient education tools so that individuals with rheumatic diseases have better opportunities to manage their condition and care for their health.
"Since rheumatology patients spend most of their time managing their condition at home, patient education is essential to empower them and support their self-care," says Mwidimi Ndosi.
Mwidimi Ndosi is an associate professor in rheumatology nursing at the University of the West of England in Bristol. He looks forward to strengthening collaboration with colleagues at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital to improve health outcomes and medical education in rheumatology.
