New head of studies administration at Health

Education, management and internationalisation are the key words in Mads Hedelund's career. On 1 April, he will take up the position as the new head of studies administration at Health.

Mads Hedelund brings 15 years of experience from the world of education, including practical and theoretical experience with management and internationalisation, to the post.

The new head of studies administration at Health is a man with in-depth knowledge of education, management and internationalisation.  

Mads Hedelund, aged 47, has worked as head of student services at Business Academy Aarhus since 2016. Here he has responsibility for internationalisation, employability, study and career guidance, the study environment, the Education Grant and Loan Scheme in Denmark (SU) and the administration of internships. 

Internationalisation is also a recurring theme in Mads Hedelund's career.  

From 2013 to 2016 he held the position of head of international relations at Aarhus Business Academy, and before that he was an international mobility consultant and project manager at VIA University College. 

On top of this, Mads Hedelund brings solid management experience in addition to his practical experience, with a diploma degree in Leadership and Management and a MBA course in HR and Organisation. 

Mads Hedelund has an MA in English and American Studies. 

He spends his free time on long-distance running and voluntary work. He has previously been chair of Aarhus Pride and a member of the Municipality of Aarhus' Committee for Diversity and Gender Equality. 

Mads Hedelund takes over the position after Anna Bak Maigaard, who was recently appointed as deputy director for education at AU.
