Health-AI Network

Artificial intelligence (AI) in health is advancing at an exceptional pace, and harnessing its benefits requires tightly coordinated, interdisciplinary collaboration among clinicians, data scientists, engineers, social scientists, ethicists, and patients. AI-based tools can provide valuable insights for prevention, diagnosis, and prognosis, and can support clinical decision making and empower users. Beyond applying the latest machine learning methods, responsible translation to impactful healthcare applications demands attention to safety, fairness, explainability, human-centred design, regulatory alignment, and post-deployment monitoring.

The Health-AI Network gathers researchers with diverse backgrounds to advance rigorous, responsible applications of artificial intelligence in the health sciences, and to accelerate translational AI. We promote collaboration across the Faculty of Health at Aarhus at University (AU) – as well as other AU faculties, Aarhus University Hospital (AUH), Central Denmark Region and with external partners through activities focused on AI research and networking. We aim to host network activities, including conferences, workshops and seminar series that convene AI researchers across disciplines. In addition, we seek to provide guidance on expertise, computational resources, and opportunities for funding and collaboration.
