2025 Aarhus Personality Disorder Symposium
Join us for the 2025 Aarhus Personality Disorder symposium on October 1st at Hejmdal to hear an interdisciplinary panel of experts talk about their research findings and contribute by brainstorming future directions for research on personality disorders and personality pathology. This group of mental health disorders has traditionally been very stigmatized and under-researched even though the public health relevance is very high. Attendance is free, but seats are limited, so remember to sign up by September 15th.

The aim of the symposium is to bring together people studying or interested in studying personality disorders and personality pathology in Denmark—both from a desk and in the clinic—to hear different perspectives, gain insights from different fields, challenge and inspire each other, and build synergy to conduct personality disorder research that will be relevant and meaningful in the years to come.
We have an exciting program planned. To start the symposium and highlight a recent change in the field, keynote speaker Bo Sayyad Bach will give a presentation entitled "Personality disorder types vs. dimensions: A shift in the diagnostic framework and implications for clinical practice". Then, five other speakers from the fields of psychology, psychiatry, health economics, and epidemiology will have the opportunity to present their findings. The scientific part of the symposium will conclude with a moderated panel discussion to summarize and compare the key findings from different fields as well as discuss the future trajectory that personality disorder research should take. An informal networking session will take place after the panel discussion.
Lunch, coffee and cake, and evening drinks are included for registered attendees. Limited seats available. The deadline to sign up is September 15th.
