I am a paediatric oncologist, currently working as senior clinical consultant and professor in the Paediatric Oncology team at Aarhus University Hospital. Prior to this, I have held positions at the Charité Universitätsmedizin, Berlin and the University Medical Center Hamburg. I am committed to advancing the diagnostics and treatment of young patients suffering from CNS tumours. For this purpose, I closely collaborate with many researchers across Europe and worldwide. As a teacher, I appreciate training students and young researchers on their way to become responsible clinicians and scientists.

My clinical and research focus is on paediatric brain tumours, in particular rare embryonal and sarcomatous tumours of the Central Nervours System (CNS). The lack of prospective clinical data and treatment standards for these newly recognised and often poor prognostic tumours creates a high medical need to gain further knowledge to improve treatment. Given the rarity of these diseases, I am working on interdisciplinary and multi-centre collaborations to gain further insights and clinically applicable knowledge.
